About Us

Outdoor LivingTodd Lawhon, founder of Lawhon Myers Builders, L.L.C. has been involved in construction since high school.  His first job as a laborer for a local construction company taught him to be a hard worker, but also to be a smart worker.  While in college at Louisiana Tech in Ruston, Todd spent spare time working for various property owners making repairs and upgrades to their properties.   This experience instilled the qualities of timeliness, planning, and budget control that is necessary for all business owners.  After completing his master’s degree, Todd moved back to Shreveport and started his first construction company in 1996, which provided remodeling for the Shreveport-Bossier area until 1998 at which point Todd expanded his knowledge of business and management by joining Edison Chouest Offshore as the yard manager for a satellite shipyard located in Shreveport.  After leaving Edison Chouest to return to the construction industry, Todd again started a construction company in February 2000 to return to the business that offered the chance to be creative and provide a quality product for his customers.

Our Subcontractors

Over the past fourteen years, Lawhon Myers has worked with many subcontractors in an effort to find the right group of craftsmen to create the vision that is set forth prior to the start of each project.  Once the subcontractors were selected as the “right fit”, it has been our goal to be loyal to those subcontractors, as we believe these relationships provide us with an even larger team that shares the same goals and standards of quality.  By working so closely with these subcontractors on a regular basis, our requirements and expectations are already known prior to any project.
